Our time in Jacksonville North Carolina

We have arrived home from Jacksonville safely. The time we spent there was enjoyable for the most part. The time just flew by. It was nice spending time with Harold, Bernice, Rachel, and Scott. We will have to do it again soon. Lacksonville is a nice community, and seems like a nice place to live. Maybe in a few years we will move there. I feel that right now is not the time to move any where. I dont forsee us living in Va. Beach for another 20 years. It has been nice living here but I feel like this is not where our family belongs. I again will try to write in my blog every day but I am not promising anything. Tomarrow our son Joseph will turn 20 years old. Idonot know where the time has gone. It seem just like yesterday the doctor was putting him in my arms and saying here is your son.

Days in a relationship

I was listning to a song about days in a relationship. The singer was talking about important things that have happened in his and his wifes relationship. when you think about how many days instead of years you have been married It is simply amazeing. For instance Melissa and I have been married 20 years 2months and 19 days. That equals out to 88,349 Days. This also equals out to 2,120.376 hours. When you thik of it this way it is mind boggling. I would not give up the years months, or hours I have spent with my wife Melissa for anything. I do not now how she puts up with me, but I am glad that she loves me enough to put up with me

My Grandfathers Birthday

Yesterday was my grandfathers birthday. If he was still alive he would be 125 years old. His name was Joseph Murrey Kelley. Not only was he my grandfather, he was my best friend. Grandpa lived with us from before I was born. Even before he died, he was allways doing things around the house to help my parents out. When I broke my hip when I was 15 he took care of me while my parents were at work. Grandpa passed away in his sleep at home March 11, 1979.
I MISS HIM VERY VERY MUCH. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA, i MISS YOU VERY MUCH. I
know that you are in heaven watching down on us. I hope that I have not done anything to disappoint you. Love your grandson Ron

Family update

All of us in the family are doing well. Joseph has a new job, which he started on Thursday. Scott continues to look for a job with not much sucess. I am sure he will find one soon. Melissa is still wiorking both of her jobs. The school bus job is going well for her. Her job at Food Lion has been trying for her the last couple of weeks. My routes on the school bus have shaped up quite nicely.
Most of the parents are really nice. Most of the students are very well behaved on the bus. The Pizza Hut job is o.k. also. Istill have not figured out how people come up with what they think is a good tip to give the delivery driver. My thought is you should tip the same percentage you would tip your waiter or watress at a resturant. Well thats all I have for now. Remember our Military service men and women and how much the sacrifice to keep us free and save. When you think you have it bad rember there are people who have it worse than you. So thank God for what you have.

School News

School starts in for days and things are very hectic here at home. Trying to get ahold of parents without much luck. Wrong phone numbers and people not answering their phones. I have told Melissa atleast three times that I am going to quit. Melissa has reminded me that the first couple of weeks are rough but it will get better. Melissa is my rock and the love of my life. Without her I do not think I would servive. Well that is all for now. I hope that those who read this are well. May God be with you in everything you do.

First Post Ever !!!!!!!

Welcome to the wheels on the bus go round and round. The choice of the title for this blog was taken from my sister Betty. Betty told me over the phone how to set up a blog page. I couldnt figure it out on my own. The name of this blog is fitting because both my wife Melissa and my self drive school buses for Virginia Beach. About my self: I was born and raised in Binghamton New york. I am the youngest of four children. Melissa and I have been married for twenty years. We have two children Joseph 19, and Scott 17. Melissa has two children from her first marrige. They are Eugene 32, and James 30. I feel Eugene and James are my sons, not my step sons. Melissa was born in Johnson city, and raised in Pennsylvania. Melissa is the oldest fo seven children. We have lived in Virginia Beach since 1986.
